An all-inclusive cozy winter Imbolc knitting & yoga retreat -

Greencastle Yoga invites you to our second weekend retreat designed especially for knitters.

Half way between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, replenish your energetic reserves by spending three days and two nights in a magical coastal setting, enjoying…

. knitting workshops and events

. yoga, meditation, and sound-bath practices

. candle-lit and fireside ceremonies in honour of Imbolc

. our cozy new Knitting Library

. healthy, delicious meals with local organic ingredients

. the motherly energies of St Bridget

. and of course that unique form of camaraderie stemming from our shared passion for the fibre arts and the coastal Donegal landscape

 

Day 1 - Friday 23rd January 2026

•16:00 – Studio Visit Ailbiona McLochlainn  

•17:30 – Check-in, cosy welcome drink and a delicious snack around the fire 

•18:00 – St bridgets Inspired Free-Knit ith Chair (sofa) Yoga

•19:30 – Dinner featuring vegetarian cuisine  

•21:00 – Sound Bath by candlelight 

 

Day 2 - Saturday 24th January 2026

 

Morning:  

 

•08:00 – Vinyasa flow for inviting the light 

•09:30 – Healthy breakfast buffet 

•11:30 – Open Sauna and optiional Sea Dip for the experience (bring a hat and gloves)

 

Afternoon:  

 

•13:00 – Lunch: Warming Wholesome Soup and sourdough bread  and homemade sweet delights

•14:30 – Knitting Workshop with Ailbiona McLochlainn  (details nearer the time)

•17:30 – Yin Restorative cooling practice 

•19:30 – Dinner featuring vegetarian cuisine.

•21:00 – Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation by candlelight and Hot Cacao Ceremony  

 

Day 3 – Sunday 25th January

 

Morning 

 

•08:00 – Morning Yoga – embracing the seasons coming into the light.

•09:30 – Healthy breakfast buffet  

•11:30 – Closing Ceremony and Reflection

•12.30 – Checkout of rooms (Bags can be left and collected later) 

 

Afternoon: 

 

•13:00 – Immersive group art installation with Ailbiona McLochlainn  (bring a finished hand knit for a prop)
